PART I: REDO

I create and reflect upon a natural landscape as it explodes and re-forms around its last survivors. This landscape is a volatile and mysterious place where land is formed and shifted both by the hand of humanity, but also by the constant movement of tectonic plates.

Urgency and tactility inform the slow transformation of bodies and of land. I visually approximate thedisruptions and shifts of my experiences in the world. These images find a place where documentation becomes appropriation, transformation leads to reconfiguration and all expectations are erased before they arrive. I advertise and iconize a reality that I control. I am invested in photography as a medium capable of transformation, revision and metamorphosis. This is a medium that speaks to a life in flux, fluttering between tangible and imaginary states.
